1200 TOP OF EAST BEACH!

When I bought unit 1200 six years ago, the manager at the time said," Congratulations, you bought The Penthouse! That's what we call it". People at the Galvestonian still do.

When entering 1200, it's easy to see why people still refer to it as The Penthouse: there nothing like the feeling of having Nothing but Sky above, unlimited Gulf panoramas from the balcony on the left, in front, the entire northern end of Galveston Island, ships sailing in and out of Galveston Bay, the Bolivar Island in the distance, and Galveston Bay to the right. A real eagle's nest feeling, looking out from the balconies on three sides of the Galvestonian.

"Top of East Beach" has been repainted from the original institutional blue/grey to cheerful sunny colors, and the already attractive furniture and wall hangings, carefully updated.

The middle bedroom we converted to an office and back to a bedroom, so we just added dark roll down shades which can blackout the room during the night, as needed.

Indulge in the ultimate coastal getaway at our exquisite beach condo. The open-concept living room is flooded with natural light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With the relaxing view of the beach, it's the perfect space to unwind! Leave your cares, pool towels, and other amenities behind. Our kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes and appliances.

A generous amount of pool towels are provided and can be exchanged at the front desk as often as needed to enjoy the on-site heated pool and hot tub. Other onsite amenities for your enjoyment include tennis and pickle ball courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes, picnic grills, and hammocks.

Our management team is committed to ensuring your living experience is smooth, enjoyable, and sure to produce fond memories. Prompt response to maintenance requests and a friendly approach make us stand out.

Situated on the east end of the island, our beachfront condominium enjoys easy access to the Seawall and historical district’s parks, shopping, museums, trendy cafes, and cultural hotspots, making your stay as comfortable and customizable as you desire. There are no meters or other hassles of street parking here as parking is in a designated lot on the north side of the building, with other overflow parking available if needed.

  We loved being on the 12 floor corner unit so much. The unit was comfortable but a bit crowded with tables in the family room. Too many mirrors through out the place, and showers need some safety bars or handles and a secure step up into the shower. A bit of a hazard to a shorter person, child or the elderly for sure. Some paint for sure but the best kitchen, comfortable beds, and 2 awesome balconies with the best views ever! The pool is important to us and small children in the hot tub is not good, rules are rules & should be enforced. The condo is greatly located for downtown access. Overall we rate an 8 out of 10. We are rating this Condo against 3 others this size at The Galvestonian. We did enjoy it alot!

  With two balconies, we had a spectacular view of the Gulf as well as the Channel! We enjoyed our coffee each morning sitting on one or the other, watching the waves or the ships. It was delightful!

  April was a perfect time, less crowds etc. and although very windy I loved that is was cool and cloudy the days we were there. My only complaints with the unit was no bathroom in the King bedroom which seems odd. Both showers have a dangerous step and nothing to hold onto stepping in or out. This could be a real safety hazard for young and old guests. The views on both balconies were amazing.

  The unit we rented at the Galvestonion was top-notch. It was nearly remodeled, kitchen was superb, all new appliances and very clean.
  
  The views are amazing in these three bedroom units. It’s well worth going to three bedrooms because of all the room you have in the unit. The Galvestonian itself was also a wonderful experience. The front desk people are very responsive and very helpful. I am a repeat customer and will continue to come back.

  Suite 1200 is a beautiful condo with amazing views. The corner unit offers panoramic views with balconies on 3 sides. The furniture is comfortable, although a little dated and worn. The layout is fantastic with plenty of room for us. The kitchen is nicely stocked with tons of storage and counter space. This is our second year staying at the Galvestonian. The staff is always welcoming and helpful.

  We had a fantastic weekend. Our favorite was the view to the east along the beach and into the Bay as well as out to the ocean, of course. And to be eye level with the pelicans was unreal! The unit was great - had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and living area. we also enjoyed the hot tub, pool and the easy beach access. So nice not to have to cross a road to get there. Thank you for all!

  We had originally booked another location and it was not operational the day we arrived. After scrambling a bit I called the Galvestonian and Anna was so very helpful finding us the perfect unit for our stay. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The facility is decorated beautifully, the lobby is comfortable, the pool is nice with plenty of chairs and tables. The boardwalk to the beach is also very convenient. Our unit was also nicely decorated with stunning views from the balconies. It was very clean and well stocked. The only reason for the 4 stars is because we didn’t have window coverings in one of the bedrooms. We will definitely be back!
